about Inga
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Inga Hyatt received her undergraduate degree in acting from Ohio University, a scholarship to study acting abroad her senior year, and completed her degree in London, UK. She was quickly cast in a stage production and remained in London for the next five years where she worked as an actress and developing/writing/producing television programs for the BBC and ITV. It was then that she began coaching actors and presenters for stage, camera, and radio. Upon moving to New York City, she continued acting as well as working in television and film. However, after 20 years of working in media, she wanted a career that would make more of an impact on lives. Inga was awarded a full-tuition Sojourner Truth Scholarship from SUNY New Paltz where she completed her graduate degree in Communication Disorders.

For the past 10 years, Inga has been providing early intervention services throughout the Hudson Valley, with a focus on early language and sensory feeding as well as continuing her work in private professional voice coaching. She quickly transitioned to providing teletherapy at the onset of Covid, which allowed her the opportunity to expand her practice to include gender-affirming voice care, professional communication, fluency for children and adults, cognitive disorders and executive function, voice disorders, articulation, accent modification, and articulation.

Inga is passionate about individualizing care for each client and believes that teletherapy enables affordable, convenient access for people of all ages to participate. She holds licenses in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York and provides gender-affirming voice care and professional communication coaching throughout the US.

In her spare time, Inga enjoys hiking, swimming, watching really bad television, and travel. She has previously volunteered with NYC Meals on Wheels, and was a member of the Food Justice Committee of her local CSA.

Inga has helped me tremendously throughout my stuttering journey. Without her expertise and support, I would certainly not be the social butterfly I am today. She truly wanted her clients to succeed, and having her on my side meant a lot. Throughout our sessions (and to this day), Inga has been an awesome, supportive, and talented SLP, friend, and mentor of mine. She helped me overcome my stutter and inspired me to give back in the same field of speech-language pathology. That being said, Inga helped change my life, and I am forever grateful for her help! I would certainly recommend her work to anyone who seeks support through speech therapy.

Working with Inga has made a huge difference in my life and career. I initially reached out because I wanted to improve my executive presence, but she has helped with much more than that. Inga identified specific skills for me to practice and we simulated scenarios during our sessions. Now, how others perceive me has also truly transformed. I recently interviewed for a new job and received four job offers!

Inga built trust with my daughter over telehealth and really helped her develop confidence, new skills and abilities. Her depth of knowledge, kindness, and patience made all the difference.
